CHERp Challenge

The 2024 CHERp (Chugiak Eagle River paddle) Challenge is hosted and sponsored by AK Paddlesports.  This is the second year we will be hosting this event and we hope it will continue to grow!

The CHERp is a noncompetitive paddling event in the Chugiak/Eagle River area that encourages paddling our amazing local lakes!! The 5 lakes included in this challenge are Mirror, Beach, Fire, Edmonds, and Eklutna lakes.  To complete the challenge paddle on 4 of the 5 lakes sometime between May-Sept. using your kayak, canoe, or paddleboard.  Take a selfie while paddling each lake, once you have all 4 selfies post them to your social media with the line, "I've done the CHERp!" and tag AK Paddlesports.

This year swag includes: Custom ChERp 2024 vinyl sticker and fridge magnet,  AK Paddlesports branded water bottle, 5L drybag, and event T-shirt!

Swag can be picked up starting in August any Saturday/Sunday 10am-noon or you are welcome to reach out to us to pickup another day/time, 907-306-5290 or [email protected]
