AK Paddlesports Policies

Renter must be able to provide valid drivers license at time of pick up or item(s) will not be released. 

All daily rentals require a credit card to be saved on file for possible damages/cleaning fees.

​Check-Out Procedures 


Before leaving AK Paddlesports, you are responsible for inspecting all equipment carefully and to bring any missing or damaged equipment to a staff member's attention. Make sure any discrepancies are noted on the rental agreement. Failure to note any discrepancies may result in a fee for damaged or missing equipment. If needed, please ask a staff member for assistance with inspection and/or instructions on how to properly set-up the equipment. 


​It takes approx. 30 minutes to check out equipment. Consider this as you make your reservation.

Cleaning Fees

Rental fees do not cover any portion of cleaning fees. Any watercraft not returned in a reasonable condition will be subject to a cleaning fee up to half the rental cost.  This will be charged to the credit card on file.

Equipment Damage

Rental Fees do not cover any portion of damages to equipment. Any damage to equipment interfering with subsequent rentals or reservations will be charged the entire cost of the subsequent rental in addition to all equipment repair and/or replacement costs.

​Late Fees

Late fees are assessed at 1.5 times the daily rate for each day the equipment is not returned.  This is strictly enforced as it jeopardizes another person's trip. Any late equipment affecting another person's rental will be charged the entire cost of the other rental.

Rentals returned the same day but after the 10PM return time are subject to late return fee of $25.

​Cancellation Policy 
​

  • Cancelations prior to 1 week before rental date pay 20% cancellation fee and remaining balance refunded. 
  • Cancelations within 1 week before rental date​ pay 50% cancelation fee and remaining balance is refunded.
  • Same day cancelation NO refunds or credit
  • Early returns or late pick up will not be refunded.
  • Cancellation fees assessed at time of cancelation (NOT reservation).

Delivery

  • Be on time for your scheduled delivery & pickup, if more than 15 minutes late you may be subject to an additional delivery fee.  If later than 30 minutes for delivery we may leave with equipment and you are subject to our cancelation policies.
  • Remain with equipment until it has been picked up by AK Paddlesports, failure to do so will result in a $50 abandoned equipment fee.
  • Delivery/pickup is primarily offered to Chugiak area lakes (Mirror, Edmonds, Beach, Fire lakes)​​​
  • Delivery/pickup to Anchorage or Valley area may be requested but in not guaranteed.

Rental time periods

  • Daily rate applies to the date of rental 8am-10pm (not 24 hours)
